Hey Y’all, hope you had a good weekend, ours was super busy, you’ll know why soon, in the meantime follow me on SnapChat (nshrivas) for live updates!!
In today’s world, life is super busy. With work, household chores, meeting up with friends etc. we often forget to spend quality time with our significant other. While everyday we chill and relax together after a busy day either while taking a walk, swimming, sitting sipping tea (or wine) and catching up or having dinner, watching TV etc. only these times spent together is not enough. Every once in a while we need to spend some quality time together away from the everyday usual routine – and Date Nights are just the way to do that!
Date Night in my books is an evening where the hubby and I have nothing else but just each other on the priority list. We often go for dinner and a movie or sometimes just to someplace with a fun atmosphere where we get to talk, catch-up and spend more time together 🙂
While I am working on a post with some date night ideas in general, and around Houston, in this post I am sharing some date night looks, namely dresses I have worn on some of our special nights out. Not that I always wear dresses to Date Nights but since I wear dresses less often anyways, I kinda use our date nights as an excuse to wear more of the dresses, especially since the hubby loves me in dresses 🙂
So without further ado, here are my looks:
This dress is believe it or not from Target! I love this little lacy number as it is very versatile. I like having versatile pieces as you can wear them multiple times just by changing the way you accessorize it. I have worn this one during the day, at night, for a baby shower, recently for rehearsal dinner for a very dear friend’s wedding and even worn it with boots in the fall/winter! For this date night look, I wore pearls with it, my ring from Charming Charlie and sandals with bedazzled rose! My watch is from Kenneth Cole.
This one is a latest addition to my dress collection. I got this from AND while shopping in Mumbai on my recent trip to India! My sister and I both picked this dress, so I guess the next time we do a couple’s date with my sis and bro-in-law, my sister and I should wear this together 😉 Haha! I teamed this up with glossy navy pumps from Calvin Klein, rosy finish jewels and my Kate Spade watch.
Macy’s has a great collection of dresses and this one is from Macy’s too. My bangles are from Kate Spade, the Elephant cuff from Talbots. My necklace is from Elaine Turner’s Southern Charm Bar collection. More about her line in my post ~ Event Recap: Elaine Turner’s Southern Charm Bar Launch Party. I wore the bedazzled rose sandals with this as well 🙂 There is something special in wearing red for romantic nights out with the hubby!
This cutesy lace dress is from Target as well. I like the lime green lining of this dress as it gives a good look to the ivory lace in turn making this dress bloom. My bracelet and necklace are from Macy’s, my ring from Charming Charlie and the watch is from Kenneth Cole. Those sexy sandals are from Naturalizer, hence they are super comfy too, which is a win-win in my books!
