😋 1 tray chicken 🍗 drumsticks, 2 medium aloos 🥔 diced, 1 medium-large red onion 🧅 diced, I big tomato 🍅 diced, 1/2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste. Coriander 🌱 for garnish!
😋 Spices: 2 bay leaves, 2 dried red chilli, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 star anise, 2 badi elaichi, few cloves and choti elaichi, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds. For the powdered spices: 2 teaspoon dhaniya powder, 1 teaspoon haldi, 1 teaspoon garam masala, salt to taste and a pinch of laal mirch 🌶
😋 In a pan, put generous amount of oil, add in all the saboot spices and once the cumin seeds crackle, add in onions and ginger garlic 🧄 paste – let it become semi golden brown, then add in the tomatoes.
😋 Once cooked a bit, add in the spices and bhunofy/fry it. To this add the aloo, mix, add chicken (make slots on it with a knife, to help masala go till inside) and mix. Let it cook on medium flame for 5 mins. Now add in 2 cups of water and cover and let it cook. Takes about 15 minutes for the chicken and Aloo to get tender, on medium flame.
😋 Remove the cover and cook on high flame to evaporate some water if it’s too liquidy for your liking. Garnish with dhaniya and enjoy!!!
