Hope y’all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend and are content… I surely am and this blog post is courtesy that!
We had a wonderful long weekend with our friends from Virginia Tech who were visiting us from Indianapolis. It was a perfect mix of laid back and adventurous and what was heartwarming was seeing Lil Miss K loving her time with Chacha Chachi. We relaxed at home, watched movies, played games, tried various cuisines, explored Austin and gave them a taste of Hill country when we went swimming at one of the beautiful natural swimming holes, Krause Springs.
This past weekend was one which leaves you happy and positive, and there’s nothing like old friendships!
Today’s post is brought to you by my positive mood and happy soul. In this post I will be talking about the benefits of having a monthly goal and what mine are for September, so read along!
You can divide your goals into different categories for better managing them, some categories for example are:
– Health / Fitness
– Personal / Self Care
Lately, I’ve been so on-the-go that I am looking to sit back and relax and take it easy. I’m excited to be home for the next couple of months and really just enjoy a routine, once I set one. While my focus is on just renewing and refreshing my energy, I do not want the month to slip by and hence setting up some goals.
I am a meticulous planner and checking off a to-do list or a goal list gives me immense pleasure. I love the feeling of accomplishment that I get once I have tackled a task or achieved a goal. Since I am not really looking to do much this month, my list is pretty simple and not complicated this month. Read on to know what’s on my monthly goal list for September 2018!!
My Goals for September 2018:
– Health and Fitness:
Go for a walk atleast 4 times a week – enough of sitting around doing nothing! Time to get on track with a fairly easy fitness routine!
– Work (which for me is my blog)
Post atleast 1 blog post a week – really hoping to get back to some kind of blogging schedule, let’s see how it goes 🙂🙃 With the amount of half written drafts and notes I have to complete them, you’d think this task should be fairly simple, but with a little one in the picture, the day flies by and I hardly find any free time to give the much needed attention my blog needs!
– Personal / Self Care
Schedule some me-time everyday, even if it is just half an hour – I feel like a little bit of time set aside for yourself can really boost you up and give you the much needed and well deserved break from the otherwise busy schedule we have every single day, be it one of a stay at home mom or a working woman.
Mommy n Baby: Take Lil Miss K to library story time and other fun/educational play dates.
I n Hubby: Binge watch a show on Netflix, do more of the things we enjoy!
Friends n Family: Have them over for games night or just to hang out otherwise.
Try 2-3 new restaurants this month – We are usually creature of habit and seldom try new places. But I want to be a little more adventurous and try new restaurants / cuisines!
See 1-2 new things in/around Houston – I love how much Houston has to offer.
Hopefully start a new book – Gosh! This is definitely one thing I miss doing, reading!!
Arrange the house and set a routine – I have been so on-the-go lately that I haven’t had a single weekend just free to rest, relax, renew and refresh while enjoying our new home!
I am keeping my list straight forward this time around coz I don’t want to burden myself, I want to use this list of goals to enjoy September all while taking it easy.
