~ My all time favorite High-End Perfumes: Part 1!!

Hey all you wonderful people!!!! How’s it going?! Today I am doing a fashion post, with a twist by sharing some of my all time favorite high-end perfumes with y’all.

Perfume, as defined by the dictionary is a fragrant liquid typically made from essential oils extracted from flowers and spices, used to impart a pleasant smell to one’s body or clothes. But in my opinion, it’s this and much more. A perfume becomes a part of your personality and people often recognize you or at the very least relate you with your choice of perfume.

For me, a perfume is an indulgence. An additional way to feel sexy and I for one, definitely do invest in lots of good perfumes and at a given time, have atleast 5-6 different perfumes on my dressing table.

What does “note” mean in perfumery??

Notes in perfumery are descriptors of scents that can be sensed upon the application of a perfume. Notes are separated into three classes; top/head notes, middle/heart notes, and base notes; which denote groups of scents which can be sensed with respect to the time after the application of a perfume.

– Top notes are perceived immediately upon application of a perfume, top notes consist of small, light molecules that evaporate quickly. They form a person’s initial impression of a perfume and thus are very important in the selling of the product.

– Middle notes are the scent of a perfume that emerges just prior to when the top notes dissipate. The middle note compounds form the “heart” or main body of a perfume and emerge in the middle of the perfume’s dispersion process.

– Finally, the base notes are the scent of a perfume that appears close to the departure of the middle notes. The base and middle notes together are the main theme of a perfume. Base notes bring depth and solidity to a perfume.

So without further ado, my list, in no particular order, is:

– Chloe by Chloe:

Fresh, smooth, comfortable and totally addictive. A sublime powdery rose.

Fragrance Notes:

Top: pink peony, freesia, lychee – subtle freshness.

Heart: magnolia flower, lilly of the valley, rose – sublimated femininity.

Imagine femininity, luxury and style – bottled. Expressing an aura of strength and beauty, glamour and confidence, this perfume is inspired by modern women.

Fragrance Notes:

– Tory Burch:

This is the very first fragrance from Tory Burch and it captures classic elements in unexpected ways. Feminine and tomboy. Easy and polished. A bright and complex mix in a super-chic glass bottle with a signature fretwork top.

Fragrance Notes:

– Dior Pure Poison:

A voluptuous musky composition based on white flowers such as orange blossoms. Once upon a time, there was a fragrance that was innocent yet captivating, sincere yet mysterious and that my friends was Dior’s Pure Poison. It incarnates seduction in its purest state by exploring its duality and irresistible alchemy. This fragrance was created to surprise and astonish, to let women assert their femininity with confidence.

Notes in a nutshell: Based on orange blossom, jasmine, gardenia, amber and sandalwood, this delicate yet generous modern potion reveals the seductress within.

– Coach Poppy:

A youthful and spirited fragrance, this Coach Poppy perfume calls attention to the fruity and floral aromas.

Fragrance Notes:

Top: Coach Poppy opens with bright cucumber, juicy mandarin and freesia buds notes.

Heart: Filled with aroma of jasmine, pink water lily, Southern gardenia, red candied rose petals and crème brûlée accord.

For those who dare to dream, the chance for romance was never greater! The decidedly young scent of Chance is unexpectedly sexy and floral.

  1. Just when I was thinking of buying some long lasting yet mild ones during holiday season for India visit I came across your blog 😊
Right now I have poison by Dior, Estee Lauder a pack of 4, kenzo..
I feel none of them pass that fragrance when we pass by like how foreigners smell when they walk by 😒
Also I get headache and sneeze if they are very strong..
Can you suggest aqua based or similar ones?
